CHANDRASEKAR VENKATARAMAN

Chandrasekar (Ceekay) Venkataraman joined Marciano Beckenstein LLP in 2023 and is an associate lawyer at the firm. Ceekay’s practice includes tax dispute resolution, tax planning, and administrative law.

Ceekay was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2023. He completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, after which he completed his articles and practiced with a law firm affiliated with a Big 4 accounting firm. At the law firm, Ceekay primarily worked with the Tax Controversy and Not-for-Profit and Charity Law Groups, assisting clients throughout the tax dispute resolution process, including at the objection level, and in the Tax Court and Federal Court of Appeal levels. He also handled charitable registration applications and represented clients before the Ontario Public Guardian and Trustee.

Before attending law school, Ceekay worked as an auditor with a Big 4 accounting firm in India, where his primary focus was statutory audits of publicly listed corporations and tax audits. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
