PAUL ZHANG

Paul Zhang joined Marciano Beckenstein LLP in 2023 and is an associate lawyer at the firm. His practice areas include tax dispute resolution and tax planning.

Paul was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2020. He articled and worked as an associate lawyer at a Toronto-based tax law firm where he represented various individual and corporate clients against the Canada Revenue Agency in issues involving the Income Tax Act, the Excise Tax Act, and various international tax treaties.

Immediately prior to joining Marciano Beckenstein LLP, Paul worked as a tax litigator at the Department of Justice. He worked on a number of tax litigation files involving arbitrary assessments, real estate audits, input tax credits, CPP and EI remittance assessments, donation audits, and other matters. Paul has appeared before the Tax Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Canada.
